Eligible persons:

Regularly enrolled students in post-secondary education institutions that are recognized as public or private universities or colleges and offer state-recognized degrees

• Pupils (at least 13 years of age) who are properly enrolled in a state-approved public or private general or vocational school
• Lecturers, teachers and employees at a state-recognized general and vocational school, public or private university or at a school board or school authority as well as emeritus university teachers
• Homeschool Students and Teachers: 'Homeschool' follows the definition in force at the time. Students and faculty from this group are eligible only if home schooling is legal at the location in question.

Proof of Entitlement:

Pupils and students:
Proof of the current pupil or student status with the name of the pupil/student and the training institution

• Student or student ID card
• Transcript
• Receipt of paid school or college fees
• other letter from the educational institution stating the name of the student and the educational institution as well as the current student status

Lecturers, teachers and employees of an educational institution
Valid proof of affiliation to an educational institution with name and date of issue or other proof of current employment at an educational institution:

• current salary statement
• official letter from the employer

Note: Confidential information such as grades, social security numbers, or salary may be redacted.

Students and teachers in home schooling

• Dated copy of home schooling application
• Proof of current membership in a home schooling association
• Dated proof of syllabus acquisition for the current school year

Submitted documents must not be older than six months. Homeschooling students and teachers are eligible only if homeschooling is legal in that location.
You can create a copy of your credential using a digital camera or scanner. All documents must be copied in their original size and clearly legible. Acceptable formats are JPEG, GIF and Adobe PDF
